A well-established regional law firm is looking to recruit a Commercial Property Solicitor into its Shrewsbury office. This opportunity would suit a junior lawyer looking to build strong technical experience within a genuinely supportive commercial property team, without the pressure and narrow specialisation often associated with larger city practices. The role offers broad transactional exposure, consistent quality work, and a stable long-term platform for development within the Shropshire market.

About the Firm

The firm has a strong regional reputation and an established commercial property client base across Shropshire and the surrounding areas. The real estate team handles a broad range of transactional work for commercial clients, developers, investors, landlords, and owner-managed businesses, with a working environment that places real emphasis on collaboration, accessibility, and long-term retention.

This is the kind of team where junior lawyers are given proper exposure, sensible supervision, and the chance to develop confidence gradually through meaningful involvement in transactions rather than being confined to a narrow support role.

Role Overview

  • Advising on acquisitions and disposals across a varied commercial property caseload
  • Handling landlord and tenant matters, including leases, renewals, and general portfolio management work
  • Supporting on development transactions and site-related matters
  • Exposure to a broad spread of general commercial property work across multiple sectors
  • Opportunity to gain experience in specialist mines and minerals work, where of interest
  • Working closely with experienced senior lawyers within a collaborative and accessible team structure
  • Building client relationships within an established regional client base with consistent workflow

Candidate Profile

  • Likely to suit candidates between NQ and 3 years’ PQE as a guide
  • Commercial property experience gained during training or post-qualification will be important
  • Looking for strong quality work within a regional practice environment
  • Interested in developing technically across a broad range of commercial property matters
  • Someone who values stability, accessibility, and long-term progression over purely transactional targets
  • Comfortable working within a collaborative team where junior lawyers are encouraged to take ownership of work as they develop

Offer and Benefits

  • Salary between £45,000 and £50,000
  • Broad and varied commercial property workload
  • Strong quality work within a well-established regional client base
  • Supportive supervision and accessible senior lawyers
  • Genuine long-term progression opportunity
  • Stable and collaborative team environment
