This well regarded regional law firm is continuing to invest in its corporate offering and is now looking to appoint an experienced Corporate solicitor into its Stockport office. The hire reflects a sustained level of transactional work and longer-term planning within the team, rather than a short-term spike in workload.
The role will suit someone who enjoys handling high quality corporate matters but is equally conscious of maintaining a sustainable working pattern. The firm is clear that progression is available, including partnership for the right individual, but without the expectation of sacrificing balance or culture to get there.

Role Overview
In this role, you will be trusted with a broad remit within the corporate team. Your work will include:
Leading and supporting corporate transactions from instruction through to completion
Working directly with clients and professional referrers on ongoing and project-based matters
Contributing to business development in a measured, relationship-led way
Alongside fee-earning work, you will also play a part in the wider development of the team. This will involve:
Supervising and supporting junior colleagues
Managing matters through the firm's case management system
Maintaining accurate time recording, WIP management and billing
Working in line with Lexcel standards and the SRA Code of Conduct
Candidate Profile
The firm is looking for a qualified solicitor with solid corporate experience, likely to suit someone around 4-8 PQE as a guide. You should be comfortable handling matters with an appropriate level of autonomy, be commercially minded and organised, and enjoy working closely with clients and colleagues. The role may suit someone already operating at senior associate or partner-track level, or someone with a clear ambition to progress in that direction over time.
