This full time position offers hybrid working options depending on operational requirements. The role provides the chance to develop a Court of Protection workstream, grow a profitable client base and contribute to the strategic direction of the team all while maintaining a sustainable work life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications, property and affairs management, and matters related to personal injury or clinical negligence settlements.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategic plans to drive business growth.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, referrers, and stakeholders.

  • Participate in business development activities, such as presentations, training events, publications, and professional directory submissions.

  • Support colleagues on their cases and contribute to overall departmental strategy and objectives.

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor junior solicitors and paralegals.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality, regulatory, and legal standards.

  • Monitor and report on financial and business performance to ensure profitability.

  • Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across teams.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX equivalent with a minimum of 4 years PQE in Court of Protection.

  • Strong demonstrable experience in Court of Protection work.

  • Experience managing own caseload, meeting deadlines, and generating fees.

  • Excellent client care, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growth.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • IT proficient (Word, Outlook, case management systems).

  • Collaborative, reliable, and professional with high ethical standards.
