The successful candidate will handle a broad caseload of private family matters while working alongside experienced and well-respected colleagues. The Role
You will be involved in a varied and interesting caseload including:
Divorce and financial remedy matters
Private children work
Domestic abuse cases
Attending court hearings and representing clients
Providing clear, empathetic, and commercially sound legal advice
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professionals
Supporting junior team members through supervision, training, and mentoring
Contributing to departmental growth, client development, and wider firm initiatives
This is a hands-on role offering real client contact and the chance to make a tangible difference in peoples lives, while being part of a collaborative and approachable team.
About You
To be considered for this role, you should:
Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with around 1-3 years PQE in private family law
Have experience across divorce, finances, private children, and domestic abuse matters
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Legal Aid (desirable but not essential)
Be confident managing your own caseload and meeting deadlines
Show excellent client care skills with a professional and empathetic approach
Possess strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
Be a team player who values collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement
