About the Role
An established law firm is seeking an experienced and committed Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its busy Family Law team. The role involves managing a varied caseload of privately funded matrimonial and family law matters, providing clear, pragmatic and empathetic advice to clients during emotionally challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of private family and matrimonial matters from instruction to conclusion
- Advising clients on divorce and dissolution proceedings
- Handling financial remedy applications, negotiations and settlements
- Advising on children matters, including child arrangements, parental responsibility and related applications
- Drafting pleadings, statements, consent orders and other court documentation
- Conducting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate
- Advising on and drafting pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Instructing and liaising with counsel and other professionals
- Attending court hearings and, where appropriate, conducting advocacy
- Maintaining a high standard of client care and file management
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years PQE
- Proven experience in private family law and matrimonial matters
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
- Experience of advocacy and court work
- Membership of Resolution and or collaborative law experience is desirable but not essential
