This opportunity will suit a Private Client Solicitor with around 3+ PQE looking to join an established and well-supported team in Bury. The role offers a broad, traditional private client caseload, a strong and consistent flow of work, and the chance to take on some supervisory responsibility, alongside clear progression prospects. Hybrid working and flexible hours form part of the firms normal working practices.
This is a long-established local practice with a strong private client offering and a loyal client base. The firm is known for its supportive culture, sensible approach to workloads, and a genuine focus on developing its lawyers over the long term.
Role overview
Managing a varied private client caseload including wills, probate, powers of attorney, and Court of Protection matters
Handling files from instruction through to completion with an appropriate level of autonomy
Providing clear, practical advice to clients on estate planning and related issues
Supervising and supporting junior members of the team where required
Playing a part in the ongoing development of the private client department
Candidate profile
Qualified Solicitor with around 3+ years PQE in private client work (as a guide)
Experience across wills, probate, LPAs and Court of Protection matters
Comfortable supervising and mentoring junior colleagues
STEP membership would be advantageous, but is not essential
A client-focused, pragmatic approach and the ability to work well within a team
