Residential Property Fee Earner, Conveyancer, Experienced Paralegal
Location: Chester
A well-established law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Property Fee Earner, Conveyancer to join its busy Chester office.
This role will suit a confident conveyancer who is able to manage the full residential conveyancing process independently and is comfortable working with minimal supervision. You will play an important role in supporting the ongoing growth and development of the firm and its residential property offering.
The Role
- Managing a full caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion
- Conducting matters accurately and in line with firm procedures, Lexcel standards and SRA requirements
- Generating fee income and managing time recording, billing and cash collection against agreed targets
- Using the case management system to prepare correspondence and documentation
- Attending and advising clients by telephone and in person, providing a high standard of client care
- Supervising and supporting colleagues when required, including holiday and absence cover
- Taking part in business development and marketing activities
- Developing work from existing clients and building relationships with new clients and referrers
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper files in line with firm procedures
- Attending and contributing to team and group meetings
About You
- Experienced Conveyancer or Paralegal with 2-5 years fee-earning experience in residential property
- Able to manage a caseload independently without supervision
- Well organised, efficient and able to work to deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A team player with a proactive and professional approach
- Confident using case management systems and modern IT tools
Support
You will report directly to, and be supported by, an experienced Team Head within a collaborative and professional environment.
