Role Overview
You'll take ownership of a varied caseload of complex private client matters, where personal tax sits at the centre of the advice. The work is hands-on, involving close collaboration with partners on high-value and often multi-disciplinary instructions. You'll advise individuals and families on estate and succession planning, working alongside accountants, IFAs and other advisers to deliver joined-up solutions. The role also includes supporting and mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to both the technical development and culture of the team.
Candidate Profile
Likely to suit a private client lawyer around 7+ PQE as a guide, with strong experience in personal tax. You'll be comfortable advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts and wider structuring issues, and confident working with high-value clients. The ability to explain complex tax advice in a clear, practical way is important. STEP membership, or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.
