A well-established regional law firm is looking to strengthen its dispute resolution team with the appointment of a solicitor at NQ to around 2 PQE. Based in Shrewsbury, this role offers early responsibility, a broad litigation mix, and the chance to develop within a supportive, well-structured team.

This is a respected practice with a strong regional footprint and a reputation for practical, commercially grounded advice. The dispute resolution team is known for the quality of its work and for giving junior lawyers meaningful exposure rather than keeping them in the background.
The Role
You'll work across a range of commercial litigation and property dispute matters, with supervision that supports development rather than limits it. The work is varied and includes:
Running your own caseload of commercial and property disputes, appropriate to level
Assisting partners and senior solicitors on more complex or higher-value matters
Drafting pleadings, advices, correspondence and witness statements
Dealing directly with clients and third parties, building confidence and judgement over time
Contributing to the team's wider knowledge sharing and, where appropriate, business development activity
The emphasis is on building strong technical foundations alongside client-facing experience.
About You
This opportunity is suited to a newly qualified solicitor up to around 2 years' PQE. You'll likely have completed at least one contentious seat during training and be committed to developing a long-term career in dispute resolution. A measured, organised approach and clear communication style are important.
