Family Solicitor (3-6 PQE) | Manchester
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Thornton Legal is working with an established North West law firm that is planning to expand its family law team in Manchester.
The firm is considering the appointment of a Family Solicitor, ideally with around 3-6 years' PQE, to support its growing privately funded family practice.
This is an opportunity to join a developing team, work closely with an experienced Partner and play a part in the continued growth of the firm's Manchester offering.
The Role
The successful candidate will undertake a varied caseload of privately funded family law matters, with a particular emphasis on divorce and matrimonial finances.
We are keen to speak with solicitors who have experience advising on financial settlements, including matters involving property, pensions, business interests and other assets.
Experience of privately funded children matters would also be advantageous.
The role will involve managing client relationships, progressing matters independently and working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider family team.
About You
We are particularly interested in speaking with solicitors who can demonstrate:
Approximately 3-6 years' PQE, although applications from lawyers outside this range will be considered.
A solid background in privately funded family law.
Experience handling divorce and matrimonial financial matters.
Strong client care and communication skills.
The ability to manage their own caseload and work as part of a team.
An interest in contributing to the development of a growing practice.
The Opportunity
The firm has an established presence across the North West and is investing in the development of its Manchester family law offering.
This appointment would suit a solicitor looking for a position where they can work closely with experienced colleagues, develop their expertise and contribute to a growing team.
Salary will be dependent on experience, with further details regarding benefits and working arrangements available as the recruitment plans progress.
Interested?
Formal recruitment is anticipated to begin in early 2027, although the firm is open to hearing about particularly suitable individuals in the meantime.
