Thornton Legal is working with an established North West firm to recruit a Private Client Associate Partner for its growing Chester office. Ideally suited to a lawyer with around seven years' PQE or more, the role combines complex private client work with scope to help develop the practice locally.
The firm has a substantial private client department and the backing of a wider legal group. You'll have access to colleagues and expertise across its offices, while retaining the autonomy to build relationships and develop your own profile in Chester.
The work covers wills, trusts, complex estate administration, inheritance tax and succession planning. Clients include individuals, families and business owners, with opportunities to advise on wealth preservation and the transfer of family and business assets.
Alongside your caseload, you'll support junior colleagues and contribute to the department's development. An established network in Chester and an interest in developing client and professional referrer relationships would be particularly relevant.
You may already hold a senior title or be ready to take on greater responsibility. Strong technical experience and the ability to advise on complex private client matters are central to the role. Applications from solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives are welcomed, with STEP membership or progress towards it desirable. PQE is a guide, and equivalent experience will be considered.
