The firm has a longstanding presence in the North West with a strong reputation in private family law. Work is generated through repeat instructions and referrals, with a clear focus on privately funded matters and consistent client service.
Role Overview
- Manage a caseload primarily comprising financial matters arising from divorce and separation, alongside some private Children Act work
- Handle financial remedy proceedings including disclosure, interim applications and associated procedural requirements
- Work alongside the Head of Department on more complex matters and case strategy
- Draft key documentation including statements, orders, position statements and nuptial agreements
- Instruct and liaise with counsel and relevant experts
- Engage with marketing and business development initiatives where required
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor with around 2+ PQE as a guide
- Experience in privately funded family work, particularly financial remedy matters
- Able to manage files with appropriate supervision and work to deadlines and billing expectations
- Interest in progressing towards Resolution Accreditation would be beneficial
- Advocacy experience advantageous but not essential
