Private Client Solicitor (4-5+PQE)
A North West law firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Solicitor to join its established Lancashire team. The role has arisen as part of a continued focus on developing the firm's private wealth offering, particularly around landed estates, farming families and long-term succession planning work.
This is a broad private client position with exposure to high-quality matters and longstanding client relationships. The team is looking for someone who enjoys the technical side of private client work but also values the personal and advisory aspects that come with working closely with individuals, families and business owners over time.
The role would suit someone around 4-5 PQE, although the team is open to considering more junior solicitors coming from a strong private client background within an established practice.
About the Firm
The firm has a longstanding reputation across the North West and is known for combining strong technical legal work with a practical, relationship-led approach to client service. Its private client team advises a broad range of individuals, families, landowners and business owners across the region.
There is a collaborative culture within the team, with a genuine emphasis on development, knowledge-sharing and building long-term careers rather than short-term targets.

- Solid grounding in general private client work from a respected private practice team
- Experience dealing with complex wills, probate and estate administration matters
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP would be welcomed
- Experience advising farming families, agricultural clients or landed estates would be particularly attractive, although this is not essential
- Comfortable managing client relationships and handling sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism

- Strong quality of work and established client base
- Clear scope for long-term progression and development
- Good balance of support, mentoring and autonomy
- Collaborative and well-resourced team environment
