The Role
As a senior member of the Private Client team, you will take responsibility for your own caseload while contributing to the continued development of the department.
The role will typically include:
Managing a varied private client caseload including wills, probate, powers of attorney and, where appropriate, Court of Protection and deputyship matters
Advising elderly and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and clarity
Maintaining high standards of file management and compliance in line with regulatory and accreditation requirements
Meeting agreed fee-earning and time-recording expectations
Playing an active role in client relationship management and practice development
Supervising and supporting junior members of the private client team
Maintaining relevant quality and accreditation standards
The firm operates with a small, supportive team structure and uses a modern case management system.
Profile
This role is likely to suit someone around 4+ years' PQE as a guide, either as a Solicitor or Legal Executive, with solid experience across the breadth of private client work.
You will ideally bring:
Proven experience managing your own private client caseload
Strong technical grounding in wills, probate and powers of attorney
A client-focused, practical approach to advice
Confidence supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
STEP qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
The role is primarily office-based (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm). A four-day week may be considered.
