A Top 50 UK law firm is looking to make a senior Commercial Property appointment into its growing Shrewsbury office.
This is an opportunity to help build the firm's Commercial Property presence in Shropshire, backed by a national Real Estate practice and an established Commercial Property group of more than 80 fee earners.
The Shrewsbury office is still at an early stage of its development and was opened in response to client demand in the region. The firm now wants an experienced property lawyer who can use that platform, existing relationships and their own local connections to develop the practice further.

The firm has more than 1,000 lawyers and support staff, including over 180 Partners, across 13 offices in England and Wales.
Its wider Real Estate practice provides significant depth across general commercial property, development, real estate finance and construction.
The attraction of this role is the combination of a substantial national platform with the opportunity to have genuine influence over the development of a relatively new regional office.
Role Overview
- Take a senior role in developing the Commercial Property practice in Shrewsbury.
- Advise on general commercial property matters or develop an existing specialist practice.
- Build on established client relationships and work generated across the wider firm.
- Develop relationships with businesses, professional contacts and referrers across Shropshire and the Borders.
- Work closely with colleagues in Shrewsbury as the firm continues to develop its full-service offering locally.
- Collaborate with Commercial Property and Real Estate specialists across the firm's national network.
- Have significant scope to develop your own practice and profile within the Shrewsbury market.
Candidate Profile
The firm is open to an established Commercial Property Partner or Legal Director, as well as a Senior Associate looking for a platform that can support their continued progression.
You'll need strong commercial property experience, either as a generalist or within a particular specialism.
Some knowledge of the Shropshire and wider Borders market is important, alongside the ability to develop professional relationships and identify opportunities for the practice.
You don't need to build the proposition from nothing. There are existing client relationships, work and a substantial national Real Estate team behind the appointment. The opportunity is to use that platform while developing your own connections and position in the local market.
