A growing North West law firm is looking to appoint an Employment Solicitor with around 2+ years' PQE to join its established employment team in Chester.

The role offers a broad mix of employment work, direct exposure to experienced partners and the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for client relationships and more complex matters as your experience develops.

About the Firm

The firm has an established employment practice advising businesses and individuals across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

The team offers a supportive but autonomous environment, with experienced Employment Partners actively involved in the development of more junior lawyers.

Role Overview

  • Advise on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Support businesses through reorganisations, redundancies and TUPE transfers.
  • Advise on senior exits, settlement agreements and related employment issues.
  • Handle disciplinary, capability and day-to-day advisory matters.
  • Advise and represent employers in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
  • Work closely with experienced Employment Partners on more complex instructions.
  • Develop relationships with existing clients and contribute to the continued growth of the employment practice.

Candidate Profile

Likely to suit an Employment Solicitor with around 2+ years' PQE as a guide.

You'll need a good grounding across employment law and the confidence to advise clients on both the legal and commercial considerations involved.

The role should suit someone who wants to develop their technical experience while gradually taking greater ownership of matters and client relationships.

The role is based in Chester and is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Hybrid working is available, alongside enhanced annual and family leave, a health and wellbeing allowance and a wider employee benefits package.
