An established North West law firm is looking to appoint an Employment Solicitor from NQ to around 3 PQE to join its highly regarded employment team in Chester.
This is a good opportunity for a junior employment lawyer who wants early responsibility and direct exposure to experienced partners, while developing across a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work.

The employment team is recognised in The Legal 500 and advises an established client base on a wide range of employment matters.
The team takes a partner-led approach, giving junior lawyers regular access to senior colleagues while encouraging them to develop their own caseload, client relationships and professional profile.
Role Overview
- Advise employers and senior individuals across contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Work on complex and higher-value cases alongside experienced employment partners.
- Develop and manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision.
- Gain direct client exposure and become involved in strategy and delivery on matters.
- Build experience across a broad range of employment law issues.
- Contribute to business development and develop your own professional profile as your experience grows.
Candidate Profile
Likely to suit an Employment Solicitor from NQ to around 3 PQE as a guide.
You'll need experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment law, whether gained during your training contract or since qualification.
The team is looking for someone commercially aware, comfortable taking responsibility for their own matters and able to communicate confidently with clients.
Offer and Benefits
45,000 to £55,000, depending on experience.
The wider package includes a minimum of five weeks' annual leave, enhanced pension, healthcare scheme, four times salary death in service and a supported parking scheme.
There is also flexibility built into the firm's working arrangements.
