A respected full-service regional firm is seeking a Family Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join its family team, working primarily from the Stockport office with occasional travel to Macclesfield.
The role has arisen as the department continues to handle a steady flow of family work and is looking to strengthen the team with an additional solicitor who can manage their own caseload while working closely with experienced partners.

This is a well-established regional practice with a strong reputation for providing practical and supportive advice to individuals and families across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
The family team works closely across offices and is known for its collaborative approach, with senior lawyers remaining actively involved in supporting the development of junior colleagues.
Role Overview
Manage a varied caseload of family law matters including financial remedy work, children matters and injunction applications
Provide clear, supportive and practical advice to clients navigating sensitive family situations
Work closely with partners across the Stockport and Macclesfield offices on a range of matters
Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and dependable service
Take part in business development activities including networking and relationship building
Manage time recording, work in progress and billing in line with agreed targets
Candidate Profile
Likely to suit a Family Solicitor with around 2+ years' PQE as a guide.
You will ideally demonstrate:
Experience handling a range of private family law matters
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Clear and confident communication with clients and colleagues
A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team
A commitment to providing high standards of client care
