An established regional law firm is looking to appoint a Head of Debt Recovery to lead its debt recovery offering from Chester.
This is a senior appointment for someone who combines strong technical debt recovery experience with the ability to lead people, manage key client relationships and take responsibility for developing the practice.

This appointment forms part of the firm's plans to strengthen and develop its debt recovery capability, with the successful candidate taking a visible leadership role within the practice.
Role Overview
- Lead the firm's debt recovery offering from Chester.
- Manage a varied caseload of debt recovery matters, including complex and higher-value instructions.
- Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team.
- Take responsibility for key client relationships and ensure matters are handled commercially and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to develop existing relationships and generate new instructions.
- Work closely with colleagues across the wider dispute resolution practice.
- Help shape the direction and continued development of the debt recovery team.
Candidate Profile
This is a senior appointment and will suit an experienced debt recovery lawyer who is comfortable combining fee-earning with leadership and business development responsibilities.
You'll need substantial experience of debt recovery and a strong understanding of the relevant litigation and enforcement processes.
Just as importantly, the firm is looking for someone who can provide leadership to the team, develop strong commercial relationships with clients and take ownership of growing the practice.
The role is based in Chester.
