An established regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Partner with 7+ years' PQE to join its Chester office.
This is a senior appointment for someone who wants autonomy over their own practice while also playing an active role in the continued growth and development of the private client team in Chester.
About the Firm
The firm has an established private client practice advising individuals and families across a broad range of wills, probate, estate planning and related matters.
The Chester team is looking to add further senior experience, with the successful candidate working closely with the Head of Department and wider management team as the practice develops.
Role Overview
- Manage a broad and varied private client caseload with a good degree of autonomy.
- Advise on wills, probate and estate administration.
- Handle lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and wider private client matters.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Work closely with the Head of Department and senior management on the continued development of the team.
- Provide guidance and support to more junior lawyers where required.
- Develop your professional network and contribute to business development activity in the local market.
Candidate Profile
Likely to suit an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Partner with around 7+ years' PQE as a guide.
You'll need strong technical experience across wills, probate and estate planning, together with the confidence to manage your own caseload and client relationships independently.
Given the seniority of the appointment, the firm is also looking for someone who wants to contribute beyond their own caseload, supporting junior colleagues, developing relationships and playing an active part in the longer-term growth of the department.
