A leading regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Residential Property Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE to join its Shrewsbury office.
The team has seen a significant increase in new enquiries and already has an active caseload, so this isn't a role where you'll be expected to arrive and create your own workload. The firm wants to add experienced capacity while continuing to strengthen its residential property presence in Shrewsbury.
There's also a wider remit for someone who enjoys developing relationships, with the opportunity to become a visible part of the practice locally and build connections with professional referrers.
About the Firm
The firm is a substantial regional practice with more than 200 people and an established presence across Shropshire and the West Midlands. It is recognised by both The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.
You'll be part of a sizeable residential property practice with experienced lawyers across several offices, giving you the support of a wider team while retaining a clear role within the Shrewsbury market.
Role Overview
- Take responsibility for an established flow of residential property instructions.
- Manage transactions from initial instruction through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Handle a broad range of residential property matters.
- Work closely with colleagues across the firm's wider residential property practice.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local referrers and professional contacts.
- Help strengthen the team's profile and generate future instructions across Shrewsbury and the surrounding area.
Candidate Profile
You'll need to be a UK-qualified Residential Property Solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE. The firm isn't able to consider applications below this level.
You'll have broad residential property experience and be comfortable managing a busy caseload independently, with the technical judgement expected of an experienced solicitor.
You'll also need to be comfortable developing relationships outside the firm. You don't need to arrive with a portable book of work, but there is an expectation that you'll build relationships with local referrers and contribute to the continued development of the practice.
Offer and Benefits
Competitive salary and benefits package.
The firm places a strong emphasis on career development and progression, alongside flexible working, employee wellbeing and a wider range of benefits.
This is a full-time position based in Shrewsbury.
