An established North West law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Family Lawyer at Senior Associate level or above to join its Chester office. This is a senior role for someone who wants to combine their own family law practice with a genuine role in supporting junior lawyers and helping develop the team over the longer term.
About the Firm
The firm has an established presence in the North West and is looking for an experienced family lawyer who can bring additional seniority to the team, take responsibility for an established caseload and play an active part in its continued development.
Role Overview
- Take over and develop an established family law caseload.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and support to junior lawyers within the team.
- Bring the experience and judgement expected at Senior Associate level or above.
- Play an active role in the longer-term development of the family practice.
- Build on existing relationships and develop new referral opportunities.
- Work with a good degree of autonomy while contributing to the wider direction of the team.
Candidate Profile
This is likely to suit an experienced Family Solicitor already operating at Senior Associate level or above, or someone ready to take on that level of responsibility.
You'll need to be comfortable taking ownership of an existing caseload and supporting more junior members of the team. The firm is also interested in someone ambitious about developing the practice over time, rather than simply taking on a standalone fee-earning role.
Strong referral relationships would be helpful, but there isn't an expectation that you arrive with a significant portable following.
Offer and Benefits
Salary up to £85,000, depending on experience and level.
The role is based in Chester.
