Stoke-on-Trent | Hybrid Working (2 Days Per Week in the Office) | Salary DOE
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join a well-established, progressive law firm with an outstanding reputation for both the quality of its work and its supportive culture.
The firm is looking for a solicitor with around five years' PQE as a guide, although applications from candidates with more or less experience will be welcomed. The focus is on finding the right individual rather than meeting a specific PQE level.
The Role:
You'll work closely with the Head of Dispute Resolution and a highly experienced Partner, becoming part of a collaborative and well-resourced team consisting of:
Head of Department
Partner
Experienced Associate
Solicitor
Trainees
Paralegal
The role offers exposure to a broad range of high-quality contentious work for businesses and individuals, including:
Commercial contract disputes
Property litigation
Professional negligence
Debt recovery
Shareholder, partnership and LLP disputes
Employment-related disputes
Construction disputes
Insolvency matters
Injunctions
Reputation management and defamation
Sports-related disputes
Private client disputes, including contested wills
The team adopts a commercial, solutions-focused approach, using negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution wherever possible, while also handling litigation through the High Court, County Court and specialist tribunals when required.
About You:
The successful candidate will:
Have around five years' PQE in dispute resolution, although this is flexible
Be confident managing a varied caseload
Enjoy working collaboratively within a close-knit team
Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Be commercially minded with excellent communication skills
Be keen to continue developing their career within a growing department
