A well-established Wigan law firm is looking to appoint a Civil Litigation Solicitor (3+ PQE) as part of a planned succession. With a senior lawyer due to retire, this role offers a structured opportunity to take on an existing caseload and develop towards a future Head of Litigation position.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction to resolution
- Advise on commercial disputes, property litigation, debt recovery and general civil matters
- Take over an existing caseload as part of a planned handover
- Maintain and develop client relationships
- Support the ongoing development of the litigation function
- Progress towards increased responsibility, with a view to future departmental leadership
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, likely 3+ PQE as a guide
- Experience handling a broad civil litigation caseload
- Able to manage matters independently with appropriate supervision
- Interest in progressing into a senior or leadership role over time
- Clear communicator with a practical, client-focused approach
Salary and Benefits
- £40,000 - £50,000 per year
- Hybrid working available
