Family Law Paralegal - Sefton - £23,000
We are currently working with a well established law firm that is looking to recruit a Paralegal to join their busy Family Law team based in their Sefton office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large and supportive team and gain valuable experience assisting senior fee earners with a busy caseload, predominantly dealing with matrimonial matters.
The role will involve:
- Opening and managing new client files
- Providing day to day support to senior fee earners within the team
- Updating clients on case progress
- Communicating with courts, experts and other agencies
- Arranging appointments and managing diaries
- Preparing bundles for court hearings
- Taking and making client calls
- Meeting with clients both in person and remotely where required
- Carrying out Legal Aid assessments and applications
- Taking initial client instructions
- Attending court to assist counsel and/or clients
- Providing general legal and administrative support
The successful candidate will:
- Have at least 12 months experience within a Family Law team (preferred)
- Be confident working in a busy team environment
- Have strong organisational and time management skills
- Be proactive and willing to get involved in a variety of tasks
- Be comfortable communicating with clients and third parties
- Have experience using Case Management Systems and Laserforms (essential)
- Have experience using the Legal Aid Agency Portal (CCMS) (essential)
- Experience using Excel would be advantageous
The position offers:
- Salary of £23,000
