Role Overview
- Managing a full caseload of housing disrepair matters from pre-action through to settlement or trial
- Working under the Housing Conditions Pre-Action Protocol, with responsibility for drafting pleadings and key documentation
- Reviewing evidence including housing records and expert reports
- Negotiating settlements with defendants and progressing matters efficiently
- Maintaining accurate case management records and strong client communication
- Contributing to team standards and mentoring more junior fee earners where appropriate
Candidate Profile
- Likely to suit a solicitor around 3-6 PQE as a guide
- Solid experience handling housing disrepair litigation autonomously
- Comfortable working within a volume environment without compromising quality
- Strong technical knowledge, organisation and client care skills
