A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its established Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury team based in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team known for handling complex, high value claimant work while providing genuine support and compassion to clients during difficult and life changing circumstances. The firm offers high quality work, autonomy and clear progression within a collaborative and friendly environment.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, ranging from lower value claims to complex, high value and catastrophic injury cases. The position offers real autonomy, including responsibility for strategic decisions relating to liability, causation and quantum.
In addition to running your own matters, you will:
Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals
Delegate work effectively and support the technical development of the wider team
Contribute to business development and referrer relationship building
Support marketing initiatives including articles, case studies and media opportunities
Play a key role in growing the profile of the clinical negligence department
This is a role suited to a senior lawyer who enjoys both high level technical work and contributing to a positive team culture.
About You
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
7 years' PQE or above in claimant clinical negligence
Strong experience managing complex and high value matters independently
Confident advising on liability, causation and quantum
Excellent client care skills with a compassionate and professional approach
Experience in supervising or mentoring junior team members
Commercially aware with an interest in business development and profile raising
