An established and growing regional law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Employment Solicitor to lead and develop its Employment offering.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Employment Solicitor who is ready to take ownership of a varied caseload, help shape the direction of the department and play a key role in its continued growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and colleagues across the wider business, providing high-quality employment law advice to clients while actively supporting business development, marketing and client relationship initiatives.

The Role:

You will manage a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising clients on day-to-day employment issues as well as more strategic and complex work.

You will also support the growth of the department, develop client relationships, assist with corporate transactional support and contribute to the wider success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing your own varied employment law caseload
Advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
Providing practical and commercially focused advice to clients
Supporting corporate colleagues with employment aspects of transactions
Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships
Playing an active role in business development and marketing initiatives
Helping to grow and develop the employment offering
Monitoring workflow, billing and work in progress
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial performance of the department
Promoting a client-focused culture across the team
Sharing knowledge and supporting training and development within the department
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm

About You:

Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or equivalent legal professionals with:

Around 7+ years' PQE in Employment Law
Strong experience managing a varied employment caseload
Technical expertise across contentious and non-contentious work
Commercial awareness and a practical approach to legal advice
Confidence developing and maintaining client relationships
Strong communication, diplomacy and people skills
The ability to work independently and support the wider team
A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach
Confidence using case management systems, Outlook, Excel and Word

This role would suit an experienced Employment Solicitor who is looking for autonomy, visibility and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing department.
