An established and highly regarded law firm in Staffordshire is looking to appoint an ambitious Litigation Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys managing a varied caseload while playing an active role in business development and the continued growth of a successful litigation department. You'll have the autonomy to run your own files, work alongside experienced colleagues, and be supported in developing your career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role:
You will manage a broad range of contentious matters, including:
Commercial disputes, including shareholder, partnership and directors' disputes
Commercial and residential property litigation
Contractual disputes
Professional negligence claims
Debt recovery and enforcement
Insolvency matters
Defamation
Restrictive covenant disputes
Advocacy and representation in the County Court and High Court
Alternative dispute resolution, including mediation
Costs relating to litigation and court proceedings
Alongside fee-earning, you'll play an important role in developing client relationships, generating new business, and contributing to the continued success of the department.
About You:
The successful candidate will be:
A qualified Solicitor with experience in litigation and dispute resolution
Confident managing their own caseload with minimal supervision
Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
An excellent communicator with strong client care skills
Organised, self-motivated and commercially focused
Comfortable networking and building long-term relationships with clients and referrers
Keen to contribute to team development and share technical knowledge with colleagues
