Family and Matrimonial Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive (5+ PQE)
Location: Cheshire East (Hybrid Working Available)

An established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Family and Matrimonial Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (minimum 5 years' PQE) to join its busy and growing Family team in Cheshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, client-focused legal professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private family matters while playing an important role in the continued growth and success of the department.
The Role:
You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of family and matrimonial matters, delivering practical, sensitive advice to clients during what are often challenging periods in their lives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a broad caseload including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, private children matters, cohabitation disputes, separation agreements, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
- Providing clear, pragmatic and empathetic legal advice while maintaining exceptional standards of client care.
- Handling matters independently with strong technical accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Building relationships with clients and professional contacts, contributing to business development and departmental growth.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff, with opportunities to mentor junior team members where appropriate.
About You:
To be successful, you will have:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in family and matrimonial law.
- Strong experience managing a varied private family caseload, including both financial and children matters.
- Excellent organisational, communication and client relationship skills.
- A compassionate and professional approach, with the ability to provide realistic advice in sensitive situations.
- A genuine interest in helping develop and grow a successful Family department.
