This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate or paralegal looking to gain valuable qualifying work experience (QWE) and develop a long-term career in Private Client law. Perhaps you are studying towards the SQE and looking for that next step? You will work alongside experienced solicitors and specialists who are committed to supporting your professional development and progression towards qualification.
The Role:
Working closely with the Head of Department and an experienced Private Client Solicitor, you will gain exposure to a broad range of high-quality private client matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Head of Department with the ongoing administration of trusts
Supporting a Solicitor with a varied caseload of private client matters
Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
Assisting with Trust creation and administration
Supporting with Probate and Estate Administration matters
Assisting on Deputyship and Court of Protection work
Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial advisers and third parties
Preparing legal documentation and correspondence
Managing files and supporting fee earners on complex and high-value estates
This role offers excellent hands-on experience across the full spectrum of Private Client work, making it particularly suited to someone looking to build specialist expertise and qualify into the area.
About You:
The successful candidate will:
Have previous experience within a Private Client team or a strong interest in developing a career in Private Client law
Be looking to gain qualifying work experience and ultimately qualify into Private Client
Possess excellent communication and client care skills
Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Be able to manage a varied workload and work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Demonstrate a professional and proactive approach
