Working Pattern: Hybrid working available by arrangement
Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
A well established law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its growing property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancer who is confident managing their own caseload and looking to join a supportive environment with hybrid working available. The firm is located close to excellent transport links.
The successful candidate will work within a team led by a Senior Conveyancer, alongside a Conveyancing Assistant, handling a varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion.
The Role:
You will be responsible for managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing files while supporting and supervising the Conveyancing Assistant within the team. The role involves dealing with a wide range of property transactions and ensuring matters progress efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing residential conveyancing transactions from start to finish
- Acting for both private clients and limited companies
- Handling a range of transaction types including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- New build transactions
- Shared ownership matters
- Help to Buy transactions
- Non statutory lease extensions
- Reviewing files and signing off matters prior to exchange and completion
- Working under the supervision of the Senior Conveyancer
- Supervising and delegating work to the Conveyancing Assistant
- Assisting the Senior Conveyancer in achieving team financial targets
- Supporting the development of the Conveyancing Assistant within the team
- Taking responsibility for the team in the Senior Conveyancer's absence
- Ensuring compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion
- Strong understanding of the full conveyancing process
- Experience dealing with a range of residential property transactions
- Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience supervising or supporting junior staff would be beneficial
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working available by arrangement
- 9am to 5pm working hours, Monday to Friday
- Four weeks annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
- Additional time off over the Christmas period when the office typically closes
