Senior Residential Conveyancer
Salary: £38,000 to £44,000
Location: Wirral
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available by arrangement
Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
A well established law firm is looking to recruit a Senior Residential Conveyancer to join its growing property department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced conveyancer who is confident managing a full caseload while also supervising and developing a small team.
The successful candidate will head up a team of three, consisting of a Senior Conveyancer, Conveyancer and Conveyancing Assistant, ensuring files progress efficiently while supporting the development of junior team members.
The Role:
You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload while overseeing the wider team's workload and supporting the firm in achieving its financial and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Handling a variety of property matters including freehold, leasehold, new build and shared ownership transactions
- Heading up and supervising a team consisting of a Conveyancer and Conveyancing Assistant
- Allocating work across the team and overseeing file progression
- Taking responsibility for all files opened under your name through to completion
- Ensuring annual financial targets are met
- Supporting the development and progression of the Conveyancer and Conveyancing Assistant
- Identifying training needs within the team
- Providing supervision and guidance on complex matters
- Contributing to business development and maintaining strong professional relationships
- Ensuring compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards
The Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience managing residential conveyancing transactions from start to finish
- Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of the conveyancing process
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload while overseeing team performance
- Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to the firm's growth
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: £38,000 to £44,000 depending on experience
Hybrid working available by arrangement
9am to 5pm working hours, Monday to Friday
Four weeks annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
Additional time off over the Christmas period when the office typically closes
